Estate with 4 Ruins in Montesinho Natural Park – Bragança The "Quinta de S. João – Casal das Casas Novas" is located within the Montesinho Natural Park, next to the village of Maçãs (Parâmio), 25 km from Bragança and close to the main access roads to Bragança, Vinhais, and Spain. URBAN AREA The urban section of the estate has a gross construction area of 1,006 $m^2$, generally in poor condition. It consists of a group of stone buildings that, in former times, constituted a friary. The built area and privileged location facilitate and encourage the creation of a tourism unit in the heart of the Montesinho Natural Park. RUSTIC AREA The estate spans approximately 40 hectares, 15 of which are adjacent to the urban area. It features a Douglas fir forest and several 50-year-old chestnut trees in front of the house. It includes about 6 hectares of meadows (lameiros), chestnut groves, and several plots in the Maçãs valley suitable for forage crops. The Maçãs River rises on the property, and there are numerous watercourses throughout the estate, enabling the production of irrigated crops.
